Weddings in Italy

My personal view of Italy:

It’s vibrant, loud, stylish, winding roads, Fiats, vespas, home-made wine, expresso coffee & biscotti, Bacci chocolates, la passegiatta (evening stroll), silver-haired “nonnas” dressed in black, babies and cheek pinching; home-made gnocchi, old fashioned Italian songs from my childhood.  Italy does get under the skin, its diversity ensures that it surprises and rarely disappoints.  It offers designer living and glamour as well as having a gritty retro feel.

Celebrities are making Italy a hot wedding destination and it isn’t difficult to understand why; the Lakes or the Amalfi Coast, beautiful town halls where the civil ceremony will take place; imposing yet tranquil churches, gorgeous palatial villas for the wow factor or the simple elegance of converted convents for an intimate wedding reception – there’s a place for everyone.  It’s so easy to blend romance and passion with history, what a great stage for your perfect wedding day.

What’s also good to know is that an exclusive location in Italy can be yours for what was the UK average wedding spend back in 2002 (weddingguideuk) – now that’s good news!

In 2002 the breakdown the figure was £11,000 and this included the following:
