Legalising Wedding Documents At Short Notice

Legalising your wedding documents at short notice is the nightmare situation you do not want just before your wedding day.

If you are planning with the usual 6 month time frame required for Italy weddings, this is a fairly stress free event, if you are considering something more spur of the moment, or being asked for additional documents closer to the date of your wedding then you are mostly likely going to entering ‘speedy apostilles’ or ‘urgent apostilles’ in to your browser’s search bar!

The Apostille service is where the Legalisation Department of the Foreign Commonwealth and Development office will check whether the signature, stamp or seal is genuine.

There are two types of Legalisation services:

Standard Apostille Service

The Foreign Commonwealth and Development office (FCDO) offer two services the Standard Apostille service this is a postal service where your documents are sent to the Legalisation Department in Milton Keynes.

Standard Apostilles cost £30.00 each

Premium Apostille Service (urgent requests)

This is a business service is available to individuals through specialist companies or registered companies.

This service is for same day processing of your documents.  The Premium Apostille Service is the safest and quickest way of legalising your wedding documents.

This is a pre-booked walk-in service. Documents will be physically handed to the Legalisation Office in London and picked up on the same day at a pre arranged time.

Premium Apostilles cost £75.00 each.

How I can help you with urgent requests for legalising your wedding documents?

I am registered as a business user for the Premium Apostille Service.  This means I can organise the legalisation of your documents on a same day turnaround.

This means I am able to obtain apostilles in person from the FCDO in London rather than using the postal service through the Legalisation Department in Milton Keynes – the postal service has a guideline 3-5 day turnaround in “normal” circumstances, this may not be sufficient to meet your given deadline(s).

The following conditions apply for the Premium Apostille Service:

  1. We receive your documents by 4pm the day before travelling to London, as an appointment must be booked
  2. Payment for the Premium Service must be received in advance via bank transfer – this will include the organisation service charge and the cost of the expedite apostilles.  The reason for full payment is that the Premium Service is booked on line and payment for the apostilles is made at the time of booking.
  3. You provide clear instruction to us for onward delivery once the Apostille(s) have been obtained.

Willing to assist couples who require urgent assistance with legalising documents for destination weddings other than Italy subject to our availability as well as for other reasons other than weddings.

Cambridgeshire based bordering Northants, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Lincolnshire, and Essex, just of the A1 /A14.  Where possible we can organise a face-to-face meet up rather than arrange a courier to drop off your documents.
